USA, 1998, 113 min, black & white  Journalist Lee Simon makes a play for actress Nicole Oliver, subject of his current story. Lee is separated from his wife Robin, a teacher who's lost and insecure. He becomes transfixed by a blond supermodel, who teases him and eventually drops him. Lee has a stable relationship with book editor Bonnie but falls in love with waitress-actress Nola, complicating his agreement with Bonnie. He arrives at the Stanhope Hotel, just when movie star Brandon Darrow is fighting with his girlfriend, trashing furniture, and insulting hotel staff.
