LIGHTER THAN LIGHT
ÎÒ ËÅÊÎ - ÏÎ-ËÅÊÎ

Bulgaria, 2002, 30 minutes, colour

Lighter than light is a musical film and the second attempt by Vasil Stefanov to enter the world of longer visual forms. Like "Infinity - from dawn to dusk", "Lighter than light" is the result of the desire and ambition of Bulgarian National Television to focus on the new generation of talented Bulgarian musicians. At centre stage in the new film is the man and musician - Stoyan Yankulov-Stundzhi.
Stoyan is a talented drummer and he tells the camera about his passion for percussion instruments, his first steps in music and the marvellous ability of any object to produce music when touched with love. Stoyan Yankulov improvises alone and together with Teodosi Spasov, with his friends and colleages from "Zona Z", "Zig-Zag Trio" and the "Bacchalian" dance group.
Lighter than light offers a unique opportunity to plunge into the rapids of real music which springs direct from the heart.
