5th SOFIA MEETINGS
13th till 16th March 2008
The 5th Sofia Meetings will take place from 13th till 16th March 2008 in the frameworks of the 12th Sofia International Film Festival / 6th – 16th March 2008/.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with EAVE; selected projects from EAVE 2007 to be presented at Sofia Meetings; EAVE participants welcome at Sofia Meetings.

EAVE is one of the leading training providers for producers in Europe. Over the last decade and more EAVE has developed a combination of producer training, project development and network creation which has become a model and benchmark for producer training throughout the world. It receives support from the MEDIA Plus Programme of the European Community, the Film Fund Luxembourg and the partners who have hosted the workshops since 1988. The aim of the programme is to renew and improve production and co-production methods and to encourage co-operation.

Sofia Meetings is an event, supported by MEDIA Plus programme of the European Commission, organized within the frameworks of the Sofia International Film Festival. It is orientated towards professional audience (producers, directors, world sales, distributors, representatives of financing organizations and film festivals). It has two separate modules:
Second Films Pitching – presentation of second feature film projects looking for financial support and cooperation.
Balkan Screenings – showcase of the latest Bulgarian and regional films for directors and programmers from different international festivals, world sales companies and journalists.
